What is DTRL?

DTRL means Day Time Running Lamps or daylights in short. These lights greatly enhance the car's visibility during the day and thus reduce the risk of traffic accidents. This is the reason to introduce in many countries a statutory mandatory driving with head-lights on during the winter season of the year. In most of these countries the same is in force during the whole year.
